Extracting The Original Channel Art
This is more complex than you might think. You could approach this task by executing a screen grab but if you want the real graphics your going to have to use the FireFox browser to do it quickly. The problem is that Youtube thwarts image copy by displaying the graphic with a "Build on the Fly" method which means that the graphic is actually not a jpeg but a binary code. When you visit the Youtube page the Channel art is displayed on-the-fly via this code. The Chrome browser doe not let you copy the image easily this is why FireFox is the best choice to copy the image. Scott quickly shows you the procedure to copy the image so you can edit it in your photo Editor.Editing The Photo
Good graphics usually always star with masking out the background of your subject matter. Scott starts by extracting the Mitten Dad out from his background. Finding this photo was a struggle but eventually, Scott was able to find a good one. The majority of the tutorial explains how he took the photo of the Mitten Dad and conditioned it so that it looks like a higher resolution photo. The end result was as a color modified, crisp image of (Eric) the Mitten Dad that looks totally awesome. Scott layered more effects like a red background, yellow highlights, and the original font to make the new graphic pop.The End Result
Upon creating a few variants of the graphic it became clear that the best Mitten Dad graphic was the one that mimics the design of his thumbnails. Brand design congruency is absolutely important because you need to send an unspoken message to your visitors that they landed at the home of The Mitten Dad. If you design is all over the place it becomes less clear that the channel is professional. You must be professional (with it) to get the passive subscriber growth. Thanks For Stopping by,
